Over the last few months, we have piloted some new Women’s Wellbeing Days in partnership with Rock Farm. Over 60 women attended the 4 days ad 100% of participants said they had benefitted from the day and it improved their felt sense of wellbeing.
Recently we have completed an evaluation of the work of Release Counselling & Therapy for Women, since its launch in January 2013, covering the first five years of the project. The infographics show the difference the project is making to the lives of women in Brighton & Hove and beyond.
Release is delighted to have been awarded £10,000 from The National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. This grant is to develop some new Couple Counselling services at Release, aiming to develop healthy couple relationships and provide support when they are not.
In the past few months, Release has been thrilled to have been awarded some new grants to support both the individual and group counselling services we run. Thank you to The Chalk Cliff Trust, Hollingdean Healthy Neighbourhoods Fund, and Brighton & Hove Community Health Fund.

On 5 November, in London, our partners Into the Light will be running a workshop called, “Shake It Off! Letting Go Of Shame, Sexual Confusion And Loneliness After Sexual Abuse”
The workshop will focus on how being abused may impact certain aspects on how we relate to our ourselves and others. We will also share information and ideas at how we can build healthier and closer relationships.
