What to expect

We know that pregnancy, childbirth, and becoming a parent can have specific challenges for those with historic trauma, and we want to provide a safe space where your experiences and histories are taken into account, and you are in a group of other mums where you can feel comfortable.

The groups will be facilitated by our trauma specialists, and you will also get to benefit from all the core elements of our Mother Nurture course; psychoeducation, discussion, emotional processing and building community.

You can attend if you are a first time mum, or if you already have other children. Your new baby needs to have been born in the last 12 months.

The two 10-week groups will be running in both Peacehaven and East Worthing starting in April 2024, and anyone from the surrounding areas will be welcome. This group is free to attend thanks to funding from NHS Heads On, and travel costs can be reimbursed if needed, to help you attend.

To sign up to a group, please choose from the dropdown and complete the form. You then need to go to the “checkout” to formally reserve the space. No money will be taken.

When and where will the sessions run?

East Worthing - Thursday 25 April - 27 June | 12:5-2:15pm | St George’s Church, 16 St Georges Road, Worthing, BN11 2DS

Peavehaven - Wednesday 24 April - 26 June | 10:15-11:45am | Telscombe Cliffs Community Church, 11 Buckhurst Road, Telscombe Cliffs, Peacehaven

Please note that although the sessions are being held in church halls, they are not associated with the church, and are not religious groups.
